Set up a Self-Hosted connection for Jovvie Point of Sale for WooCommerce

This page is for stores that connect Point of Sale to their own WooCommerce store. It walks you through running the register app on your own WordPress site, which is called a Self-Hosted Connection. If you are not sure this is the right choice, read Choose Cloud or Self-Hosted first.

  • WooCommerce and the Jovvie Point of Sale plugin are installed and active. For plugin installation, follow Install the plugin.
  • You are a WordPress administrator.
  • You have the register app plugin file, or another way to install it. The plugin is named Jovvie Point of Sale POS UI Self-Hosted for WooCommerce. If you do not have it, contact Jovvie support.
  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
  2. Install Jovvie Point of Sale POS UI Self-Hosted for WooCommerce. If you have a plugin file, click Upload Plugin and choose the file.

The Connection tab also has a Manual Connection Setup box with Public Key and Secret Key fields. Use it only if Jovvie support gave you keys. Never share your keys with anyone else.

Your license is the plan that lets your site use Jovvie. To check it, open POS > Settings > Connection. With Self-Hosted Connection selected, the status shows one of these:
