Find and view orders in Jovvie Point of Sale

The Orders panel in the Jovvie Point of Sale register lists the orders in your store, so staff can look up a sale, check its status, or pick up an order they saved earlier. The list is not limited to sales taken at the register you are using. It can include online orders too.

  • You need a Point of Sale user with permission to view orders. If you do not see Orders in the register, ask an administrator or shop manager to check your permissions.
  • The Orders button can also be hidden for a station. See Show or hide register buttons.
  1. Open the register. See Open the register and sign in.

  2. Click Orders at the top of the cart.

The cart is replaced by the list of orders. If new orders are waiting, a number appears next to Orders. See Show a badge for new orders.

  3. To go back to the cart, click Orders again, or click Close at the bottom of the panel.

Each row shows the order number, the date, the customer, the status, and the total. The columns are Orders, Date, Customer, Status, and Total.

  • For orders from today, the date column shows the time. For earlier orders it shows Yesterday or the date.
  • Orders with the Pending payment status also show how long ago they were saved, for example “Saved 5 min ago”.
  • Click a status badge to show its full name.
  • Scroll down to load more orders.

Tabs above the list filter orders by status. The number on a tab is how many orders have that status.

  1. Click a tab, such as Pending payment, Processing, Completed, or Cancelled, to see only those orders.
  2. To see other statuses, click More and choose one.
  3. Click the active tab again, or click All, to see every order.

If no orders match, the panel shows No orders found with this status. If there are no orders at all, it shows No orders found in the system.

An administrator or shop manager can choose which statuses appear as tabs, and in what order, with Order Status Filter Tabs on the Cart tab of the station. Statuses that are not chosen stay under More.

If your user has permission to search orders, a search box replaces the customer button at the top of the panel.

  1. Click Orders to open the panel.
  2. In Search orders, type what you are looking for.
  3. Click Search.
  4. To clear the search, click the clear icon in the box.
  1. Find the order in the list.
  2. Click the three-dot button at the end of the row.
  3. Click Order Details.

The details window shows:

  • The status, customer, payment method, and date.
  • Billing Address and Shipping Address, when the order has them.
  • Line Items, with the quantity of each item and how many were refunded.
  • Order Totals, including Subtotal, Discount, Shipping, Tip, Tax, Total, and, if the order was refunded, Refunded and Net Total.
  • Order Notes, split into Customer Note and Internal Notes.
  • POS Information, with the Station and Cashier that took the order.
  • Custom Fields. Click Show other meta to see more.

At the bottom of the window you may also see:

To change the status from this window, click the status badge and pick a new status. See Change an order’s status.

The three-dot menu on each row also has these actions:

  • Edit Order: loads the order into the cart. It only appears for orders that can still be edited.
  • Change Status: see Change an order’s status.
  • Invoice Link: only for orders that were sent as an invoice. See Follow up on an unpaid invoice.
  • Order Source: opens the order in your dashboard.

If you have access to your dashboard orders, View Admin at the bottom of the panel opens the orders list there.
